Hospitality Design Magazine Features TRI-KES Digitalby  TRI-KES

November 22, 2013 |

The September 2013 issue (pg. 142-145) of Hospitality Design Magazine features amazing photography, courtesy of Frank Oudeman and Christopher Ottaunick, showcasing one of TRI-KES' recent digital projects for the Lexington Hotel in New York City. According to the Hospitality Design article (written by Michael Adams and entitled "Jazz Patterns ~ modern impressions of the 1920s energize a classic hotel), it was with a certain humility - and a great deal of excitement - that the New York firm, dash design, took on the challenge of renovating the 725-room Lexington New York City for the modern era, bringing a contemporary feel to the space while honoring its past. The result is a fascinating, eclectic gallery that captures the eye at nearly every corner of the hotel, from public spaces to guestrooms.

On the right side of the below photo you can see the beginning of a Ruben Toledo mural we digitally created for the lobby library of the hotel. As you can see from the above photo, this mural, called "Deco Dance", dramatically envelops the staircase from the ground floor to the mezzanine. The mural was printed on an artist canvas substrate, seamed and then hung like wallpaper.
