Stacy Garcia's Color Crush: Living Coralby  Stacy Garcia

January 16, 2019 |

In celebration of Pantone‘s Color of the Year, we’re crushing on Living Coral! Similar to a hue we forecasted back in 2016, Coveted Coral, we’re so excited to see it coming back again with even more vibrance and saturation. Embodying a bright pink hue with an orange undertone, feel embraced by the warm, yet energetic color of Living Coral. The engaging quality of this color encourages us to live with lightheartedness and optimism as we seek to connect with nature in a more meaningful way.

The warming trend of colors is mellowing out for a bit, but the pink trend is still going strong. This dusty salmon hue is soft yet strong. Inspired by Himalayan sea salt, stone and shells, this mid-tone color is warm and inviting. Paired with gray, ivory and white, this hue brings a natural patina to everything.

Stacy Garcia's Color Crush: Purple Twilightby  Stacy Garcia

November 15, 2018 |

This month we are crushing on Purple Twilight, a dusty lavender with a surprising sense of spirituality. You’ll find this hue in the soft, glowing light from the sky when the sun is just below the horizon, creating a feeling of mystery and wonder. Having a cloudy appearance, Purple Twilight blends beautifully with shades of both pink and blue, making this color rather versatile.

On Trend Today with Lanark's Kathy Wisniski: Color Focus - Dusty Amethystby  Kathy Wisniski

Inspired by the fashion runway, a new color is on the horizon. Dusty Amethyst continues the trend of soft, frosted tones in both home and contract. It has a ways to go, but this hue works beautifully with ivory and light woods and gives energy to copper metals and grays. With a more feminine approach to interiors, Dusty Amethyst is a forward-thinking shade for progressive spaces.

On Trend Today with Lanark's Kathy Wisniski: Color Focus - Pep & Tidalby  Kathy Wisniski

Inspired by the seas and the oceans, Tidal (shown in feature photo above) is a clean, yet soft, aqua-green color. Slightly retro in feel, this hue is great with a little touch of mineral sheen. Yellow with a saffron edge to it, Pep (shown below) is a spicy and happy hue. A pop of warmth that lends itself well to warm woods and whites. Seen on the runway and in contract interior showrooms, this is a new yellow for luxe spaces.View this and more on my blog at
